The Working at Heights course provides essential knowledge and practical awareness for safe work in wind turbine and industrial environments. Working at height involves serious risks, including falls, suspension trauma, dropped objects, incorrect use of PPE, and emergency evacuation challenges.
This course introduces the main principles of fall prevention, fall arrest, work positioning, rescue planning, and safe use of personal protective equipment. Participants learn how to inspect and use harnesses, lanyards, vertical fall arrest systems, self-retractable lifelines, rescue devices, slings, and evacuation equipment.
The training also covers hazard awareness, legislation, attachment points, load limits, suspension trauma prevention, dropped object control, and emergency procedures inside wind turbine structures. Practical exercises help participants apply the knowledge in realistic working situations.
The objective is to help participants work safely and responsibly at height, understand the limits of their equipment, and respond correctly during emergency situations. Safe work at height depends on preparation, correct equipment use, clear communication, and disciplined behaviour.
This course is intended for personnel who:
This includes wind turbine technicians, service engineers, installation teams, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and other workers exposed to height-related risks.
